For us it is more than sponsorships and donations, we want to make sure we are working with others to address specific needs that make our communities a better place for everyone.  We have formed strategic partnerships with area organizations, employers, and businesses that allow us to do more together for the general well-being of our community.

United Way of the Quad Cities – VITA

Individuals and families earning less than $57,000 annually may get free tax preparation by calling 2-1-1 or 563-355-9900 and scheduling an appointment during tax season.

This resource is available February 2 - April 13, 2022 at the Davenport Eastern Library. For hours and more information about this program visit UnitedWayQC.org/vita 

Pay It Forward with WQAD

WQAD News 8 and Ascentra Credit Union have teamed up to bring an uplifting series of stories.  It’s called “Pay It Forward,” and we’re giving you the chance to help change someone’s life.

We’re sharing stories of what happens when someone steps up, at just the right time, to make someone else’s life a little easier. We help surprise that person with $300 and WQAD's cameras must be able to come along.

Pay It Forward and tell us who you think deserves the money. Just fill out the nomination form and then wait to see who WQAD HD News 8 and Ascentra Credit Union surprises!

Newcomers Initiative

Ascentra has joined forces with area providers of low-cost immigration services to offer affordable financing for these costly services. The Newcomers Initiative is a grant funded program that in most cases guarantees affordable financing of these costs while introducing many to mainstream financial services provided by a trusted financial institution.

Juntos Avanzamos – Together We Advance 

Juntos Avanzamos (“Together We Advance”) is a designation for credit unions committed to serving and empowering Hispanic and immigrant consumers – helping them navigate the U.S. financial system and providing safe, affordable and relevant financial services.

Ascentra Credit Union is the only financial institution in our region that meets the specific guidelines worthy of this exclusive designation.  Today the network includes over 100 credit unions in 26 states, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia.
