With access to over 5,700 locations, Ascentra Credit Union has joined forces with other credit unions nationwide that are offering members more convenience by sharing locations through the CO-OP Shared Branch network.

Shared branching gives you the personal service you've come to expect from Ascentra, whether you’re across town or 1,000 miles away from home.

Best of all, you can conduct your credit union business with real people and not just an ATM when you’re away from home.

The Shared Branch Network is NOW more secure with IDCheck!

IDCheck is a new fraud prevention ID proofing security that ensures the safety and security of your accounts.

Ascentra Members and Guest Members will need to access the IDCheck system, verify the account they are using is theirs and provide a one-time passcode to their teller.

It a simple process:

Starting May 1, Ascentra members can start by visiting verify.coop.org or by scanning the QR code. This will either be posted in the credit union you are visiting or by asking a teller. This may apply to loan payments, cashier’s checks, deposits, withdrawals, transfers and account inquiries.

Follow these prompts to receive your passcode:

Select "Ascentra Credit Union" from the drop-down list.
Enter your account number and the last 4 digits of your SSN.
Upload a photo of your ID and take a selfie.
- (Tip: save validation information for a even quicker experience next time!).
Wait until you arrive at the credit union to request the one-time passcode as it is only valid for 20 minutes. You will show this passcode to the teller when you make your transaction.

Look for the Shared Branch logo!

Credit unions participating in shared branching proudly display the logo on outdoor signage for members to easily identify.

When you walk into participating credit union locations (a shared branch), be prepared to provide the member service representative with your credit union’s name, account number, valid Government Issued ID, and your social security number.

Within seconds, the shared branch’s member service representative will link automatically to your account here at Ascentra and you can conduct deposits, withdrawals, transfers or loan payments. It’s simple and easy!
