We know changes to your debit and/or credit card affect your day-to-day life. That’s why we will make sure to communicate important dates and any actions needed to ensure a seamless changeover of your debit and/or credit cards.

Ascentra Visa® Card Changes

- Your new Ascentra® Visa Debit card will be mailed the week of 2/17. Upon receiving it, please place it in a safe place and set a reminder to activate your new card on 3/5.
- Continue using your current card until 11:59 p.m. CST on 3/4.
- There will be an inactive time where your debit card will not work between 12 a.m. and 7:59 a.m. CST on 3/5, please plan accordingly.
- Activation Date: 3/5 at 8 a.m. CST.
- After 8 a.m. CST on 3/5, call the phone number on the activation label attached to your new card and follow the directions for activation and to set up your PIN. You may choose the same PIN you currently have.
- It is important to note that your debit card number, expiration date and CVV will change. If you use your debit card for automatic payments, you will want to update this information once your new card is activated.

What you need to know:
- uChoose Rewards will end and stop earning points on 1/31 at 11:59 p.m. CST.
- You can redeem points until 2/28 at 11:59 p.m. CST.
- uChoose Rewards points will not roll over into the new rewards program.

ATM Cards
As Ascentra changes over to new Visa® cards, we will no longer have separate, physical ATM cards. As a result, your new ATM card will look like our Visa® Debit card; however, it will only have the functionality of your current ATM card.
What you need to know for a smooth changeover:
- Please continue using your current ATM card until 11:59 p.m. CST on 3/4.
- Your new Ascentra Visa® Debit card, for ATM use only, will be mailed on 2/17. Upon receiving it, keep it in a safe place and set a reminder to activate it after 8 a.m. CST on 3/5.
- There will be an inactive time where your ATM card will not work between 12 a.m. and 7:59 a.m. on 3/5.
- You will be able to activate your new Ascentra Visa® Debit card, for ATM use only, at 8 a.m. on 3/5. Activation information will be sent with your new card.
- During activation you will be prompted to set-up your PIN. You may choose the same PIN you currently have.
Remember that this debit card will be limited to ATM use only! If you would like to start accessing the benefits of the debit card all you need to do is qualify to open a checking account.
Mobile Wallet
Although your new cards will work for mobile wallet applications, due to Visa’s processing procedures, this functionality may not be available for up to 30 days after the activation date. Once available, we will communicate via text, email and a website alert that the new cards can be added to your wallet.
CardValet
With the changeover to Ascentra’s NEW Visa® Debit and Credit cards, your card management controls will move from the CardValet app to Ascentra’s Digital Banking. This change will help make managing your cards easier and in one place. Here is what you need to know for a smooth transition:
Your DEBIT card controls in the CardValet app will end on 3/4 at 11:59 p.m. CST.
- Once you activate your new debit card (any time on 3/5 after 8 a.m. CST), verify card controls are available in Ascentra’s Digital Banking and select your card control preferences.
- Then, if you do not use the CardValet app for your Ascentra Visa® Credit card, you may delete the app from your device(s).
Your CREDIT card controls will stop working in the CardValet app on 4/24 at 11:59 p.m. CST.
- Your new credit card will be in mailed no later than 5/6 and will need to be activated as soon as it’s received by calling the phone number on the attached label.
- Once activated, verify card controls are available in Ascentra's Digital Banking.
- From 4/25 your existing card controls will have been turned off in CardValet, so once you activate your new credit card, you will want to select your card control preferences in Digital Banking.

Will there be changes to the current rewards program?
A: Yes, uChoose Rewards will be ending and a NEW rewards program will take its place in March 2025.
- uChoose Rewards will stop earning points at 11:59 p.m. CST on 1/31.
- You can redeem points until 11:59 p.m. CST on 2/28.
- Retailer (merchant) bonus or funded points will stop being available in uChoose Rewards starting at 11:59 p.m. CST on 12/31.

Will uChoose Reward points roll over to the new program?
A: No, your remaining uChoose Rewards points will NOT roll over to the new program.
- uChoose Rewards will stop earning points at 11:59 p.m. CST on 1/31.
- You can redeem points until 11:59 p.m. CST on 2/28.

Will there be a period when no points are being earned?
A: Yes, unfortunately, there will be downtime between uChoose Rewards ending and the start of the NEW rewards program. This will be between 1/31 at 11:59 p.m. until 3/5 at 8 a.m. CST.
- uChoose Rewards will stop earning points for both debit and credit transactions at 11:59 p.m. CST on 1/31.
- You WILL be able to redeem any remaining points until 11:59 p.m. CST on 2/28.
- The new program will begin earning points for debit transactions at 8 a.m. CST on 3/5 when you activate your new debit card.
- It will begin earning points for credit transactions in May 2025. More information will be released closer to the date.

Will the new program be different than uChoose Rewards?
A: Yes, with the introduction of Visa® business debit and credit cards to Ascentra’s card lineup, there will be some differences, but they are for the better. You will still be able to redeem points for merchandise and cashback. You will also still be able to group your points between debit and credit to redeem from one balance.
CardValet

I’ve never heard of CardValet. What is it?
A: CardValet is a third-party app that Ascentra has used to provide card controls to protect your card against fraud and theft by turning it off and on and receive real-time alerts and notifications about card activity. If you have not signed up for or downloaded CardValet in the past, you do not need to do anything. In fact, you are about to gain all those controls right within the Ascentra Mobile App.

Can I use CardValet to control my new debit and credit cards?
A: No, with the upgrade to Ascentra’s NEW Visa® Debit and Credit cards, your card management controls will move from the CardValet app to Ascentra’s Digital Banking. This change will help make managing your cards easier and put all the controls in one place.

When will CardValet controls end for debit and credit cards?
A: The timeframe for deactivation of card controls in CardValet is slightly different depending on the card type.
DEBIT: Your DEBIT card controls in the CardValet app will end on 3/4 at 11:59 p.m. CST.
- Once you activate your new debit card (any time on 3/5 after 8 a.m. CST), verify card controls are available in Ascentra’s Digital Banking and select your card control preferences.
- Then, if you do not use the CardValet app for your Ascentra Visa® Credit card, you may delete the app from your device(s).
CREDIT: Your CREDIT card controls will stop working in the CardValet app on 4/24 at 11:59 p.m. CST.

Why is CardValet ending?
A: Our new Visa Debit and Credit Cards have the card management controls you are used to in CardValet built right into the Ascentra Mobile App. These features mean you no longer need a separate app to temporarily activate or deactivate your card or set up monitoring alerts. You can do it all in one convenient place.

How do I use the card management features once CardValet has ended?
A: With the changeover to Ascentra’s NEW Visa® Debit and Credit cards, your card management controls will move from the CardValet app to the Ascentra Mobile App. This change will help make managing your cards easier and put all the controls in one place. The features you know and love will be available right within the Ascentra Mobile App.

Do I need to do anything to remove my old cards from CardValet?
A: No, everything will happen automatically. Your DEBIT card controls in the CardValet app will end on 3/4 at 11:59 p.m. CST and CREDIT card controls will stop working in the CardValet app on 4/24 at 11:59 p.m. CST. Once you have activated your new cards and verified that card controls are available in the Ascentra Mobile App, you can safely delete the CardValet app.
