Digital wallets and mobile payments are a secure way to make payments at stores, through apps and online. 

Ascentra Credit Union currently supports Apple and Samsung Pay for Visa® Debit and Credit card purchases; making your phone your digital wallet.

Apple Pay

Simply add your Ascentra Visa® Debit and Credit card to your wallet app and you can start paying in stores by using Apple Pay on your iPhone or Apple Watch. 

You can also use Apple Pay within apps, on your iPad, Mac and within websites in the Safari browser.  

Add a Card on Your iPhone

1. Open your “Wallet” app.
2. Tap the “Add Card” + symbol in the upper-right corner of your screen.
3. Select “Debit or Credit Card”.
4. Read Apple Pay and the privacy statement, then select “Continue”.
5. Hold your iPhone near the chip on the card to add it to wallet or enter card details manually.
6. It will add your card and contact the card issuer.
7. Enter the 3-digit CVV security code from back of your card, then select “Next”.
8. Review and “Agree” to terms and conditions.
9. Card may be instantly activated without further verification, or you may be asked to choose how to verify your card for Apple Pay. If card verification is required, choose method of verification preferred, then select “Next”.
10. Enter the verification code (your phone may auto populate and submit this code for you).
11. Once successfully verified, your card is ready to use.

To use Apple Pay with Safari on a Mac model without built-in Touch ID, go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay and turn on Allow Payments on Mac.

Samsung Pay

Adding your Ascentra Visa® Debit or Credit card to Samsung Pay is as easy as snapping a photo from a Samsung Pay compatible device*.

Simple to Set up. Simple to Pay.

1. Open your “Samsung Wallet” app.
2. Click on “Quick Access”, then select “Add Card”.
3. Select “Payment Cards”.
4. Select “Add Debit or Credit Card”.
5. If permissible, select “Allow Photos”.
6. Add your card by taking a photo, tapping or manually entering your card number.
7. Review card information populated and update if necessary, then select “Next”.
8. You may be presented with a device location question, answer accordingly.
9. Review and agree to terms of service**, then select “Agree”.
10. Card may be instantly activated without further verification, or you may be asked to choose how to verify your card for Samsung Pay. If card verification is required, choose method of verification preferred.
11. Enter the verification code (your phone may auto populate and submit this code for you).
12. Once successfully verified, your card is ready to use.
